Artistry of Toller Cranston: New book kicks off Toller 50 campaign ahead of ‘26 Winter Olympics

Toller Cranston CM, OLY, LLD: Canadian icon, artist, resister, champion, inspiration, role model. Ten years since he passed away at age sixty-five, fifty years since his milestone Olympic Bronze in Innsbruck, the Toller 50 campaign kicks off a year-long initiative to remind Canadians about an iconic life and to grow Toller’s legacy based on the values of courage, authenticity and expression. The Toller 50 campaign supports emerging talent through programs and initiatives that equip individuals to take charge of their future, find the courage to live authentically, and compete and succeed at the highest levels in sport, art, and life.

President of Toller International and Toller’s sister, Phillippa Cranston Baran says, “Toller saw himself as an artist who skated, not a skater who painted. Throughout his life, he inspired people to be bold, chase their destiny, and be creative. Through our initiatives at Toller International and now the Toller 50 campaign we are showing Canadians that even ten years after his passing, Toller Cranston continues to inspire and influence artists, athletes, performers, and fans around the world.”

New Art Book: Toller Cranston, Artistic Impressions

We invite you to join us on November 29 for the kickoff of Toller 50 and the launch of Phillippa’s new book, Toller Cranston, Artistic Impressions. The book celebrates the astonishing creative output of a true Canadian icon. The artworks are stunning, the stories behind the artworks are poignant, the messages to young artists and athletes resonate —be brave, chase your destiny, dream big, and do the work. The publisher is Ken Whyte and his team at Sutherland House Books who provide unwavering commitment to books by, for, and about Canadians. Together, we are Canada Strong.
