Review of Wicked Nights by Gena Showalter

I have never considered myself a true romantic but if you throw in some vampires, werewolves, and demons or in this case Angels and I will always check it out.   So when I got a chance to check out Wicked Nights that latest from bestselling author Gena Showalter   I was hoping for a good read and I was not disappointed. The book tells the story of Annabelle Miller who has been sentenced to an insane asylum for the murders which she did not commit, murders which were actually perpetrated by a demon.    While in the mental hospital she undergoes further demonic attacks as well as more earthly abuse until she meets Zacharel, an angelic warrior.  The two join forces to unravel the mystery of why a Demon has sets it sights on Annabelle, an issue which become more complicated with  heavenly politics and a growing desire between the two of them enter the midst.

The book does a great job of mixing the otherworldly with the all too human emotions playing thru the story. This combined with a refreshing take on the warrior of the Angelic host make me give the book an enthusiastic thumbs up.
