Paizo officially launched its crowdfunding campaign for Pathfinder Quest on BackerKit today at 10:00 A.M. Pacific Time. The campaign aims to raise $75,000 to fund the production of the Pathfinder Quest Standard Edition, Pathfinder Quest Deluxe Edition, and a variety of premium add-ons.Pathfinder Quest is a cooperative adventure board game designed for 1-4 players. Players will create unique characters and utilize an Adventure Book to explore Falcon’s Hollow, its surrounding wilderness, and ancient ruins. The game involves undertaking challenges, making choices that shape the narrative, and rolling Quest Dice to determine outcomes. A secretive Challenge Book will reveal players’ fates.Both the Standard and Deluxe Editions of Pathfinder Quest come complete with map tiles, pawns for characters and creatures, class cards, item cards, ancestry cards, enemy cards, over 100 tokens, an Adventure Book, Challenge Book, Rulebook, and a custom Time Tracker. The BackerKit-exclusive Deluxe Edition further enhances the experience with miniatures for the time dragon and four iconic heroes at launch, with additional miniatures unlockable through stretch goals.In a concurrent initiative, Paizo is collaborating with My Mini Factory and Titan Forge to offer a collection of STLs, allowing players to 3-D print all of Pathfinder Quest’s creatures at home.
Pathfinder Quest is live on BackerKit from September 16th through October 17th, with various stretch goals, social goals, and streams planned throughout the month.
