| Kit Kat Club returns — bigger, brighter, and elegantly evolvedChicago’s Crown Jewel of Camp Reopens Late September with More Glamour, More Show, and Food That Deserves a Standing Ovation |
After 25 years as Chicago’s iconic drag dining destination, the Kit Kat Lounge & Supper Club is reborn as the Kit Kat Club, reopening in late September 2025 at 3524 North Halsted Street (telephone: 773-525-1111). The new venue is larger, more glamorous, and more ambitious than ever before — with an Art Deco influenced, elegant design, an elevated culinary program, and a dazzling lineup of entertainment.
A Theatrical Venue for Dining, Cabaret, and Libations
The new Kit Kat Club, designed by Kaufman Segal Angyus Design Group, embraces a 2,650-square-foot Art Deco aesthetic with 240 seats across multiple spaces: a main dining room, a semi-private dining room, and a 1,500 sq. ft. outdoor patio. Guests will be immersed in velvet-draped stages, mirrored brass-and-gold bars, custom marble restrooms, and more than 170 state-of-the-art immersive visuals, creating a setting as dramatic as the performances themselves.
Owners and Team
The Kit Kat Club is led by co-owners Ramesh Ariyanayakam (operations, London native) and Edward Gisiger (creative director & entertainment lead). David Tapia serves as General Manager, and Executive Chef Chelsea Poe helms the kitchen, presenting an elevated American menu blending comfort with creativity.
Elevated Food & Cocktails
More than ever, Kit Kat Club’s culinary program will be at center stage, along with the libations and entertainment. Chef Poe’s menu includes appetizers such as Calamari, hand-breaded calamari, red pepper flakes, roasted tomato aioli; Hamachi Crudo, yellow fin tuna, tangelo supreme, ponzu, yuzu kosho, chili crisp, pomegranate seeds, cilantro; and Korean Chicken, chicken thighs, gochujang, soy glaze, green onion, furikake.
Main dishes include Steak Frites, crispy french fries, skirt steak, horseradish cream sauce, chives; Pan Seared Scallops, smoked chorizo, corn, scallions, cilantro, pomegranate seeds; and Butternut Squash Ravioli, crema, mushrooms, caramelized onions, Dijon, dill.
Cocktails have always been a main attraction at Kit Kat Club, and the beverage program will be enhanced even further, featuring creative martinis, cocktails, classics and riffs on classics.
In addition, Happy Hour specials are available Tuesday through Thursday from 4–6 PM, and “Recovery Sunday” features $8 1800 Tequila cocktails after 4 PM.
Entertainment, Night After Night
Entertainment remains at the heart of the Kit Kat Club experience:
Tuesdays – Musical performances (solo/instrumental)
Wednesdays – Broadway-themed nights
Thursdays – Ballet and improvisational dance led by Jackson Liee (ex-Joffrey Ballet)
Fridays & Saturdays – VIP Dinner & Show (preferred seatings at 6:30 PM & 8:30 PM)
Saturdays & Sundays – Chicago’s #1 Drag Brunch, with two seatings (11:00 AM & 1:30 PM)
A Legacy of Glamour
For more than two decades, Kit Kat has been celebrated as the #1 Drag Show in Chicago, consistently ranked among the city’s and nation’s best drag brunches and nightlife experiences. With a 30,000-strong email list, loyal fans, and a refreshed vision for the future, the Kit Kat Club is set to substantiate its reputation as Chicago’s ultimate destination for dining, cabaret, and libations.
“Our new home is a love letter to our past and a promise of more glamour, more creativity, and more YOU,” said co-owner Edward Gisiger. Co-owner Ramesh Ariyanayakam added, “This is about more than drag or dinner — it’s about creating an experience that’s glamorous, smart, and culturally rich.”
