international artist collective Grimalkin Presents Activating Creatives: The Arts as a Vehicle for Social & Political Change

Grimalkin Presentation & Opportunities: Activating Creatives: The Arts as a Vehicle for Social & Political Change
August 8, 2025 at 3pm ET/12pm PT on Zoom

We work with artists and musicians who are passionate about creating opportunities and spaces of community care, mutual support and mutual aid, who are committed to our mission of working outside of industry norms, and who actively work at mobilizing wealth and resources back into our communities.

If you’re a creative of any kind (art, music, dance, writing, etc.) and understand the critical connection between the arts and creating social and political change and want to use their skills and creativity to build community spaces and ultimately a world where justice, diversity, inclusion, equality, and liberation are valued, celebrated, and protected. You’ll learn about our mission, vision, goals, strategies, impact, and successes and the many ways that folks can contribute to our work and support us, as well as the many ways that we support individual creatives and our community.  In this moment of hostility towards LGBTQ+ folks, especially trans, disabled, and BIPOC people. and the intersecting global environmental crises of pollution, climate crisis, biodiversity loss, and ecological crises, we embrace queer and trans liberation as a key frontline struggle. Our approach involves a radical rejection of conformity and uplifts diversity as necessary for our collective survival and liberation.
Link to join us on August 8 is on our public calendar.
