Poem from the closet

                I miss her

The girl who lives

On the other side of the mirror

Putting  a hint

Of makeup

To take off the mask

Letting the hair down

Taking just a bit

Of the weight from my shoulders

Slipping on the dress

To let me feel

Comfortable in my own skin

Letting my mind

Go where it will

Wishing for the feel

Of the strong arms

of a partner

Holding me

Letting me think

Maybe

For a moment

Things will be okay
